Work and Behaviour Will Change with Change in Mindset

Fatehpur. Financial assistance will be made available to 76 manual scavenger women so a path can be paved for their honourable rehabilitation. Not only this. Necessary capacity building training will also be imparted to them and their dependents. These women are being treated with disdain even among urban poor and facing a crisis of livelihood.
This was stated by Mithilesh Awasthi, Project Officer, DUDA, Fatehpur, while speaking at the inaugural session of training of group office-bearers and leaders organised at Patel auditorium by Manav Sewa Sansthan and Action Aid, Lucknow, under Garima Abhiyan. Mrs Awasthi also gave detailed information about various government schemes to the participants for development/welfare of urban poor.
Secretary of Jan Kalyan Maha Samiti Bhagwati Prasad Pandey motivated the trainees for protection of human rights and self-reliance of trainees so they can raise their heads and lead a life full of honour. For this we will have to change our thoughts and outlook. With the change of mindset, we will have to take action and only then we will be able to attain social respect.
Virendra Vidyarthi, Pradeep Kumar and Gangadin Pandey, etc., provided training in different sessions of training programme and covered issues like implementation process of government schemes, human rights, education, health and honourable livelihood.
Along with 26 women office-bearers of Garima self help group and 30 community leaders of Balmiki community played active participation in training programme. The programme was conducted by the organisation's worker Hemraj Singh and Pankaj thanked all the participants.
